The wrong eyes don’t buy, and they don’t buy into you either.
You can spend hours creating content, attending networking events, making connections, and introducing yourself to new people. You can have thousands of followers and an impressive list of credentials.
And still wonder why the right opportunities are not coming your way.
The problem may not be how often you show up. It may be who sees you, what they remember, and whether they understand the value you bring.
This is what I mean when I say, “The Wrong Eyes Don’t Buy.”
Wrong eyes don’t buy. Being visible is not the same as being recognized.
Think about the last time someone asked what you do.
Did you give them your job title? Did you list your credentials? Did you explain everything you offer, hoping something would interest them?
Or did you help them understand the difference you make?
There is a significant difference between telling people what you do and helping them see what becomes possible because of what you do.
Your credentials can establish credibility. Your experience can demonstrate knowledge. But people also need to understand how your expertise connects to something they care about.
That is where your voice becomes important.
Your voice is more than what you say.
Your voice is how you communicate your perspective, your experiences, your value, and the possibilities you create for others.
I have spent my career helping people turn ideas into action. As a speaker, I have brought my work to audiences across all 50 states and internationally. As an author and TEDx coach, I have helped ideas find their words and reach an audience.
Along the way, I learned that the ability to communicate your value can change which opportunities become available to you.
People may have the expertise, the experience, and the ambition. Yet they struggle to explain what makes their work valuable to the people they want to reach.
Some have a story they have never learned to tell. Others have an idea for a book, a keynote, a business, or a new direction, but they have not yet found the words to move it forward.
Being more visible will not necessarily solve those problems.
Learning to communicate with greater clarity can.
The right people need to understand why you matter to them.
Imagine two professionals attending the same networking event.
One introduces herself by listing her qualifications, years of experience, and services.
The other explains whom she helps, the problem she helps them address, and what becomes possible when they work together.
Both may be equally capable. Yet the second gives the person listening a clearer reason to remember her, ask a question, or make an introduction.
That is the relationship between voice and visibility.
Visibility creates opportunities to be discovered. Your voice helps people understand why they should pay attention.
And when your message reaches the people who need what you offer, a conversation has the potential to become a meaningful opportunity.
You don’t need another person telling you what you should do.
Friends, family, and acquaintances often give advice based on their own experiences. They tell you what worked for them, what they would do, and which direction they think you should take.
Coaching offers a different kind of conversation.
It begins with your values, your ambitions, your circumstances, and the future you want to create.
Rather than giving you someone else’s answer, coaching helps you examine your options, recognize possibilities, and make choices that reflect who you are.
The goal is not to turn you into a different person.
It is to help you communicate the value you already bring while developing the skills and confidence to pursue what comes next.
What could become possible if the right people understood your value?
The wrong eyes don’t buy. The right ones do, once they understand why you matter to them.
Perhaps you have a book you want to write, a keynote you want to deliver, or a business you want to grow.
Perhaps you want to speak with greater confidence, strengthen your professional presence, or become more intentional about the opportunities you pursue.
You may already have a large circle of connections. What you need now is a clearer understanding of how those connections can become meaningful relationships and opportunities.
That is the work we do through Voice & Visibility Coaching.
We connect your voice, your message, and your ambitions with practical actions that move you toward the future you want to create.
Because being seen is valuable.
Being understood by the people who matter to your goals is where new possibilities begin.
